Come to RainbowStay when you travel the Rainbow Region, from Byron Bay to Nimbin. This self-contained holiday villa offers secluded Northern Rivers accommodation in the hamlet of Coffee Camp, 22.8 km/14.2 miles north of the city of Lismore. RainbowStay is an Art Deco Queenslander farmhouse from the 1930s that has been carefully renovated to retain its original charm while incorporating modern conveniences. Guests at the villa enjoy tranquility and privacy, having the whole 2 hectare/5 acre property to themselves. Among the many amenities are several verandas; an outdoor saltwater swimming pool; a living room with French windows and a wood stove; high-definition TV and a DVD player; and a separate dining room that can seat 6 people. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher, a microwave, and a refrigerator. Pets are allowed for an additional charge. RainbowStay is a carbon-negative, self-sustaining estate and a registered Land for Wildlife property. The villa is located just off Tourist Drive 32 at Coffee Camp, 8.8 km/5.5 miles south of the village of Nimbin. Originally settled by red cedar cutters in the 1840s, Coffee Camp today has spectacular views of the Nimbin Valley and the Nimbin Rocks. The village of Nimbin is a centre of Australia’s counterculture that attracts backpackers from around the world. You can see local art and artifacts at the Nimbin Museum. Visitors also climb Mount Warning (called Wollumbin by the Bundjalung people) and hike in Nightcap National Park, one of the few places where you can still see remnants of the Big Scrub rainforest.
