The farm house operates in an area renowned for producing excellent Port and Douro wines, and is nestled between Regua and Pinhao, in the Portuguese province of Vila Real. This superior quality 4 star Sabrosa farm house is situated within the Douro World Heritage Area and boasts seven comfortable guest rooms decorated with stylish accents. The farm house is surrounded by wine terraces, beautifully landscaped gardens, and has a large outdoor swimming pool. There are many points of interest in Sabrosa, one of them being the Castro da Sancha hilltop fort dating back from the Iron Age. Tourists can also visit numerous archaeological remains, such as some tombs dating from the Neolithic period, and some pavements dating from the Romanization period. Other attractions include the churches of Sao Lourenco de Ribapinhao and Vilarinho de Sao Romao, as well as the delicious regional cuisine featuring the cozido a portuguesa stew and the bolas de carne" (meat pie). The region is also well-known for its fortified and non-fortified wines.
