The Puffin Inn is one of those Anchorage hotels that is located on “airport row.” As such, it is also very close to Lake Hood, and only 10 minutes from downtown Anchorage. Guests of the Puffin Inn can take advantage of a free shuttle to the Ted Stevens International Airport, 24 hours a day. The Puffin Inn has 85 guestrooms overall, each furnished in a variety of ways. All rooms have cable television, a mini- refrigerator, a microwave and a coffeemaker. Free Internet access is also provided. The Puffin Inn has 4 distinct types of rooms, which have grown out of renovations and additions since it was built in 1984. One add on, the Chandler Inn, is a separate building, a half block from the main location. A complimentary Continental breakfast is served each morning. Coffee is always available in the lobby, as are free newspapers, a fireplace, and a microwave oven for the use of guests. There is a fitness room, and a business center. Pets are welcome, but an extra fee is charged.
