General information:Ilha do Papagaio (Parrot Island) was purchased by the Sehn family in 1971 and for 22 years was visited and enjoyed solely by the family; friends and special guests. Location:The island covers an area of 142;000m2; 80% of which is preserved in its natural state. This natural beauty can be explored by the guests through many trails around the island. Directly in front of the island there is more than 79;000m2 of forest allowing an exceptional view. Area details:Walking is the most popular activity on Ilha do Papagaio. The 142;000m2 is criss-crossed by 7 trails that reveal the abundant native flora and fauna. The mainland beaches also provide plenty of opportunity for beautiful walks that can take you through 6;500 meters of Praia do Sonho and 7;500m of Praia da Pinheira to finish at Guarda do Embau. Recreation:Our kitchen prepares the most refined dishes whilst still preserving the tradition that started when Grandma Lori received her friends on the island with her famous recipes. Chef Jarbas Meurer prepares sea-foods; meat dishes; pastas; etc. alongside the best of the gastronomical world. Especially notable are our varieties of home made breads and croissants; always served fresh and hot from the oven. The hotel facilities include scuba diving; flex boat; beach volleyball; gym; bowling; beach tennis; wakeboard; water skiing; swimming pool; kayaking; fishing; gift shop; conventions rooms; TV and game room; massage.
