The hotel takes its name from the novel by Sir Walter Scott. This 3 star hotel dates back to the 1830s. Enjoying a stunning white peak village location in the quaint peak district village of Thorpe. The hotel has 11 acres of manicured gardens and grounds and the towering Thorpe Cloud as a backdrop Thorpe pastures on one side and numerous footpaths and trails passing through its grounds along with the famous stepping stones on the River Dove on the Derbyshire and Staffordshire border. Ideal both as a base from which to explore the surrounding countryside and as a place to simply spend time relaxing amidst a uniquely charismatic and beautiful setting The Peveril of the Peak is a country house hotel with a difference.
