The Peninsula Inn & Spa is a fully licensed, historic inn located on the Florida Gulf Coast in the quaint town of Gulfport, just southwest of neighboring St. Petersburg and a short drive from Tampa. From Tampa International Airport, the hotel is a short 30-minute drive. The hotel is the anchor property in the City of Gulfport's Waterfront Historic District, an eclectic mix of art galleries, shops and restaurants, all within easy walking distance. Walk just two blocks south from the hotel and you will be standing on Gulfport Beach looking onto Boca Ciega Bay, which empties into the awesome Gulf of Mexico. St. Pete Beach, Treasure Island, Madiera Beach and a multitude of beautiful sandy beaches on the Gulf are just 10 minutes away by car. As ranked by the National Geographic Traveler magazine, two of America's top five beaches--Fort DeSoto Park and Caladesi Island--are only a short 30-minute drive. From Sarasota, allow about 30 minutes of freeway drive time. Seven Springs Spa offers spa services to guests of the inn at reduced prices. A fine dining restaurant, Six Tables, offers a six-course dinner five days a week and is available by reservation only. A full-service bar, The Palm Lounge, opens daily at 5 pm offering an upscale selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Hotel also provides function facilities for intimate weddings and gatherings. The building is handicap accessible, and the historic elevator will transport you from floor to floor. The hotel features 11 luxurious accommodations for overnight guests on the second and third floors. All rooms are non-smoking, have a private bath, telephone, TV, and high-speed Internet access.
