Stay at the Parus Hotel when you travel to Russia’s Volga-Vyatka economic region on business or on holiday. This friendly Nizhny Novgorod 3-star hotel has an excellent location in the historic centre, in close proximity to the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin and the Shrine of St. Sergius. The Parus Hotel is a small, modern hotel that opened in 2007. On its ground floor, around the reception desk, are a billiards club called the Bermuda Triangle and a men’s club. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in the hotel restaurant. The hotel is located on Ilyinskaya Street in the Upper City (Nagornaya Chast) on the eastern (right) bank of the Oka River. It is in the Nizhegorodsky district, which is the city’s historical and administrative centre. Dominating the skyline are the red-brick towers of the kremlin, or fortress complex, built from 1500 to 1511. Walking around the kremlin you can see the Archangel Cathedral, a war monument with an eternal flame, an art museum, and views of the Volga River. Nizhny Novgorod International Airport (sometimes called Strigino Airport) is approx. 14 km/8.7 miles southwest of the city centre.
