OPOA BEACH HOTEL is situated on the Island of Raiatea, the (Sacred Island), which shares its superb blue and turquoise lagoon with Tahaa, the (sister island) A small charming Hotel is made of 9 spacious and individual bungalows and situated on the South Coast of Raiatea - This side of the island is gently cooled by winds all year long and is the sunniest part of Raiatea as well as the most beautiful one: amazing views of the lagoon, the Ocean and Huahine, Great mountain hikes and fantastic waterfalls, cultural valleys and origins of the Maori people (Marae of Taputapuatea, just 5km away from the hotel), authentic villages All the real French Polynesia is present here. You can already discover most of these sites during your car Journey between the airport and the Hotel thanks to our guide. 40 minutes away from the main town of Uturoa, that you will discover along the way we will lead you to our little piece of Heaven. Nested in a rich and dense forest, the hotel is based on the side of the lagoon along a fine sand beach, enjoying a breathtaking view of the lagoon, the bird motu, the coral reef and the beautiful sunrises over Huahine. The 9 bungalows, of tropical architecture are divided in 3 categories: Beach, Pool and garden. In all our very comfortable Bungalows of 50 sqm2, one can find: - 1 bedroom with a four poster king size bed, very comfortable linen, fan and safety box. - 1 living room with a coach, TV, DVD player, CD, mini-bar, tea and coffee amenities and a desk with free wireless internet access. - 1 spacious bathroom, with two shell shape sinks, a large Italian shower and independents toilets. - 1 large deck with table, chairs and a hammock. On top of our soft water swimming pool and our jetty with real direct access (without having to cross the road) to discover the joys of snorkeling (free equipment rental), we can also take you on a free boat ride to the bird motu in front of the hotel. There, the lagoon is a natural and beautiful aquarium. Fishes, shells, rays and black tips sharks live there freely For your information, you will find attached to this mail our list of excursions and activities (with handpicked guides) starting from the hotel.
