Ohara-no-sato is located near Ohara Sanzen-In and Jakkoin which are famous temples in Kyoto. It is surrounded mountains and full of nature and you can see nostalgic country scenery and enjoy the beautiful change of the season s. In spring gorgeous cherry blossoms bloom and you can see beautiful maple leaves in autumn. During winter season, white snowflakes fall and cover around the town. It takes about 40min from Kyoto by car. It has Japanese style rooms, gardens which may offer good opportunity to feel Japanese culture. You can relax and enjoy your stay. Its specialty is "Miso nabe" which is Japanese one-pot dish. Fresh vegetables and delicious chickens are in hot Miso soup. This is the local specialty in Ohara now started here, and homemade miso which is made by the traditional way is one of the most popular souvenirs. The hotel offer other options such as Tofu-nabe, Sashimi or Tempura. Open-air bath is beside a natural small grove. There are men's section and women's section . The shape of this bath tub is like a ricecookeran iron-pot). The hot water used in the bath is ionized alkaline water, and spring from the underground of the hotel. Above all, the "Goemon Open-Air Bath" where four people enjoy the bath at the same time faces natural forest, and is very popular that the hotel can enjoy the cherry blossoms in spring, deep green of the trees in summer, the beautiful colored leaves in autumn, and snow in winter while you are in the bathtubs.
