The Old School a 5 star Gold Award property in an 18th Century stone building originally a village school with lovely south facing gardens surrounded by woodland in the small conservation village of Newton on the Moor The village boasts one of the finest old coaching inns in Northumberland (excellent bar meals and a la carte restaurant) and it is just a 300 metre walk from The Old School. We’re a short drive from the acclaimed Northumberland coastline. Designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty this superb stretch of coast is also home to one of Britain’s best views - Bamburgh Castle - and other jewels including the Holy Island of Lindisfarne and the Farne Islands. Nearby is the bustling market town of Alnwick where you’ll find attractions such as Alnwick Castle The Alnwick Garden and Treehouse and superb Alnwick Rum! We have three first floor double rooms and a ground floor business deluxe room all have en suite facilities with Mira showers. You will find a thoughtful selection of finishing touches and home comforts to enrich your stay. FREE Wi-Fi is available in most parts of the house. Only 1 mile from the A1 and Newcastle airport is only ½ an hours drive. The Old School is the last property on the left hand side as you leave the village heading towards Longframlington. Ample on-site parking. Sorry we cannot accommodate children under 14 or pets
