We are located just one mile from the M3 (exit 5) and ten miles from the M4 (exit 11). Hook station (5 minutes walk) provides a half hourly service to London Waterloo. Heathrow and Southampton airports are just 35 minutes drive. We are within walking distance of Bartley Wood Business Park and the companies based there including Virgin Media Serco Hewlett-Packard & BMW Finance. We are also well positioned for visitors to Basingstoke Fleet Reading Farnborough Camberley and the many local attractions around us. We have 15 bedrooms all en-suite. We have single double twin and family rooms. All have colour television with Freeview channels and DVD player and tea/coffee making facilities. Each one has its unique charm. Some retain the original Victorian fireplaces and other original features from 1860 the year that Oaklea was built. Oaklea Guest House now has a ground floor twin bedded room with a wet room specially equipped for the disabled or less able. Chessington World of Adventures is one of the most popular theme parks in the South. With its rides and attractions it’s a great day out for the family. Legoland is also close by and is a favourite family day out. More locally Paulton’s Park is close by and is a favourite especially with the younger children. Alternatively Marwell Zoo is within easy reach. Thorpe Park is another favourite with the children and adults alike. It has a series of rides suiting all ages and isn’t far away up the M3. The Madejski stadium home of Reading F.C. and London Irish is close by. This modern stadium hosts many major fixtures in both the rugby and football calendars.
