The O'Callaghan Alexander was purpose built in 1997 but blends into the Georgian architecture that surrounds it. It's bright, airy & contemporary feel is created through a combination of warms tones of creams, browns and burgundy's with lightly coloured polished woods and numerous large windows. Located in the heart of Dublin's City centre on the corner of the landmark Merrion Square, famous for its Georgian houses. Within strolling distance of Merrion Square, Trinity College, National Art Gallery and Grafton Street All bedrooms at the O'Callaghan Alexander were refurbished in May 2007. The guest rooms are spacious, fully air-conditioned, and decorated in warm, modern shades with a contemporary feel. As the hotel is located on a quiet corner of the city guests are ensured of a peaceful nights rest. The O'Callaghan Alexander offers a 24 hour gymnasium. There is a range of entertainment and sports facilities close by. Caravaggio's Restaurant is decorated in warm beige and cream colours Caravaggios serves modern Irish cuisine. This is an intimate restaurant catering for up to 100 guests. Completely refurbished in 2005, the emphasis is on selecting the finest, freshest ingredients and ultimate presentation of the food. Winner's Bar dedicated to world winners and achievers, Winner's is a very stylish cocktail bar. The bar was refurbished in 2005 with comfortable leather furnishings and warm woods. Much frequented by local Dubliners, the bar has a lively evening atmosphere and serves a great selection of bar food and snacks. Guests requiring car parking need to check in at the reception desk before parking as a unique code is required for the car park security system. Residents of O'Callaghan Alexander, Davenport, Mont Clare and Stephen's Green Hotels may avail of a bill-back facility between the hotels, whereby bar and restaurant charges from any hotel may be added to your room account. Choose from the extensive range of dining options at Lanyons Restaurant in the O'Callaghan Davenport, Goldsmiths Restaurant, in the O'Callaghan Mont Clare, or the Pie Dish Bistro, in the O'Callaghan Stephen's Green Hotel.
