Demonstrating the primitive residential architectural style of the Mosuo people, the Nverguo Hotel (Nverguo Jiudian) is situated by Lugu Lake, where resides of one of China's last historically matriarchal societies. This Lijiang hotel houses variously sized guestrooms. All standard rooms are equipped with split air conditioning, closed circuit TVs and 24-hour hot water. At the 160-seat restaurant, guests enjoy a great variety of Mosuo specialties including grass carp and roasted whole lamb. To organize conferences or other social events, guests can book the 100-seat conference room.
