It is a 5 minute drive from Matlock town centre and a minutes drive from Matlock train station. The hotel has superb views over the Derwent Gorge. An excellent Hotel that also houses an 18th century spa, fed by natural mineral springs from the ground. In addition all guests resident in the hotel have complimentary use of all on site leisure facilities, a thermal fed indoor plunge pool, sauna and outdoor tennis court. There is a free car park and this is an ideal hotel for exploring the beautiful countryside of the Peak District. Regency facade and set within 5 acres of beautiful grounds. The 55 en suite rooms are all traditionally furnished and have hairdryer, trouser press and tea/coffee making facilities as standard. The lobby is traditional. The restaurant features British cuisine and a bistro menu. This hotel has an excellent reputation locally for it's wonderful food. 32 kms to the airport (east midlands), 5 kms to city centre, 5 minute walk to the nearest bus stop, 64 kms to the airport (manchester), Close to the station (matlock train station).
