Mwazaro Beach is situated at kenya´s southcoast, only 40km away from the tanzanian border, direct at the Indian Ocean. Mwazaro means in the old language of the coastal inhabitants “place of praying”. Mwazaro is a spiritual place for the local residents, the “Digo” tribe. Even today, the inhabitants of Mwazaro Beach are still sacrificing and praying at the nearby Holy Baobab. This heavenly place was discovered in 1993 by the German drop-out Hans von Loesch. He established the basic for the present Mwazaro Mangrove Lodge, this incomparable romantic and lovely spot. Mwazaro Beach is an ecological camp far away from mass tourism, stress and superficiality. Among an immaculate nature, 11 palm cottages and lovely arranged coral houses are offering the very right place for your individual holidays.
