MP09/09 Originally dating from the XII century, when the Cistercian order was granted the land by the King of Aragon, the ornate buildings of the monastery were converted to an exclusive hotel in 2003 by the Aragon government. Wondering through the ancient cloisters and vaulted halls will give you a true sense of history. There are guided walks explaining the use oft he different areas complimentary for guests. It is also worth wondering around the exterior where the bank of the river has been carefully adapted for visitors to know more about the nature and history of the area. The impressive waterwheel is one of the main features not to miss. The outdoor swimming-pool is also an inviting place to enjoy and relax during hot summer days. This ancient former Cistercian monastery provides a luxurious and tranquil retreat by the banks of the River Ebro in Zaragoza province. It occupies a secluded spot between the towns of Sastago and Escatron, one hour from Zaragoza located about 70 kilometres away.
