Guests are invited to use the hotel’s wellness centre—consisting of a small indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, and Finnish sauna—at a reduced price. Massages can be arranged upon request. The hotel is located in the town of Otocac, where you can see the Baroque parish church of the Holy Trinity, constructed in 1684 and restored in 1774. Above the town are the ruins of a Renaissance-era castle built in 1619. Local attractions include the picturesque village of Sinac, the Kuterevo Sanctuary for Bears outside the village of Kuterevo, and the Nikola Tesla Memorial Centre outside the town of Gospic. The Gacka River is considered one of the best sites for trout fishing in the world. The friendly staff at the Hotel Mirni Kutak can provide maps of good fishing spots or good bicycle trails. From the hotel it’s approx. 58 km/36 miles to Plitvice National Park.
