Perched on a cliff on the Mediterranean Sea, and surrounded by thousand years of history, Metropole Maison D'Hotes is an 18th century palace where reality and legend merge together setting up fabulous atmospheres. The property has been restored in a classic-modern style, wisely combining contemporary and classic elements, inspired by the mythical magnificence of the place. The 23 spacious well-lit rooms and suites are characterized by sophisticated furnishings, unique and exclusive details and nearly all have spectacular views to the gulf of Taormina, or to the Mount Tauro, with its amazing medieval castle on the top, where the ancient acropolis rose. With a magic atmosphere conveying a sensation of living in a dreamlike scene, the restaurants of the Metropole hotel serve a wide range of culinary pleasures, based on fresh Sicilian products. The spacious terrace overlooking the sea welcomes you to the panoramic lounge bar, an elegant corner where you can savour delicious wines and drinks lulled by sweet background music while enjoying stunning views to the sea. An entire floor is dedicated to The Culti SPA, an original spot set among the fourteenth-century walls, in the oldest and the most historical part of the Metropole, with Hammam, Jacuzzi pool, emotional shower and heated posarium.
