The Thalasia Hotel & Thalasso Center is situated in San Pedro del Pinatar, in front of the "Salt Mines of San Pedro Natural Park" (Parque Natural de las Salinas de San Pedro). It is roughly 2 km from the old town, where guests will find several bars, shops and restaurants. The hotel is also ideally located 1,800 m away from 2 beaches: Villananitos beach (Mar Menor) and Mojn beach (Mediterranean Sea). San Javier Airport is around 15 km away. Built in 2007, the fully air-conditioned Thalasia Hotel & Thalasso Center comprises a total of 210 rooms, 146 of which are twin/double rooms (4 of these are disability friendly), 62 junior suites and 2 suites. Facilities include: an entrance lobby/lounge area with lifts and a 24-hour reception desk, a cloakroom, gift shop, hairdresser's, TV room, piano area, 2 restaurants, 3 bars, conference facilities, WLAN/Internet access and a bike rental service. Babysitting, laundry and room services, as well as a garage, are all available at a local charge. The hotel was awarded the Q for quality award in 2009. Pets are not allowed. The hotel offers different types of rooms: twin/double rooms for a maximum of 2 persons, junior suites with a living room with 1/2 sofa beds and a maximum capacity of 4 persons, and suites with 2 bedrooms and hydro massage bath and maximum capacity of 4 persons. All rooms come with a fully-equipped bathroom with a bath or shower and a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite TV, Internet access, a minibar (local charge), air conditioning, heating, a safe and a balcony or terrace. Guests can also enjoy the various services at the Thalasso centre (local charges apply) with more than 4,500 m2 of indoor saltwater swimming pool at different temperatures with Jacuzzi beds, fountains, a Jacuzzi, a water circuit with bi-thermal showers, a Finnish sauna, a wet area, a cold room, and a relaxation swimming pool. In addition, there are 22 cabins specialised in Thalasso massages and mud therapy, 12 beauty cabins and 11 physiotherapy cabins. Activities such as yoga, tai chi and aqua gym are offered on certain days (fees apply). The hotel offers an outdoor swimming pool with a bar as well as a chill-out bar on the rooftop terrace. There is also a gym available for a charge. The nearest golf course is 15 km away. The hotel has 2 restaurants, one offering a buffet service and "show cooking" and a gastronomic restaurant offering an la carte service (local charge) and chef specialities.
