The Melia Plaza is next to the Town Council building in downtown Valencia. The hotel opens onto the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, placing all of the historical downtown attractions such as the Miguelete, City of Arts and Sciences, and Turia Gardens right at guests’ feet. The Melia Plaza is a 5 minute walk from the main train station. It is approximately 15 minutes from the hotel to the airport. There are 101 rooms at the Melia Plaza, available as standards or suites. Rooms are fully air conditioned, with TVs, Internet access, mini bar, safe deposit boxes, direct dial telephones, and en suite bathrooms with hair dryers. Non-smoking rooms are available. The modern Melia Plaza opened in 1998. It is an 11 story property with a classical façade and balconies that overlook the city. The hotel has conference space for up to 90 people, and a restaurant on site serving traditional meals. Other amenities include a fitness room, sauna, whirlpool, and cocktail terrace.
