The Mediterranee Hotel is located in a quiet area near the historic center of Taormina. The Corso Umberto is just five minutes away on foot. Taormina is situated between Messina in the north and Catania in the south, connected by a highway. Trains and buses run a regular schedule. Fontanarossa is the closest airport to the Mediterranee Hotel, an is only about an hour’s drive away in Catania. All rooms in the Mediterranee Hotel have a light décor and dark-wood furnishings. Each room has cable television and a direct-dial telephone. Refrigerators are available upon request. The private bathrooms feature bidets. Most rooms open onto balconies. The 50 guestrooms in the Mediterranee Hotel, spread out over two buildings, are furnished in traditional Sicilian style, but also with all the modern conveniences. The onsite restaurant serves Sicilian dishes as well as international cuisine. The swimming pool is located in a Mediterranean garden. Guests also have access to the private beach of the Lido Mediterranee, its sister hotel (which is some distance away and served by a shuttle bus).
