You get the best of all possible worlds at The Mayan Princess Hotel, a hot spot for serious divers. Yet this gem is smack in the heart of San Pedro, a colorful town filled with shops, restaurants and bars. Best of all, the dock right out front is home to the Amigos del Mar dive center, a PADI-certified facility that offers scuba excursions as well as lessons, snorkeling trips and fishing expeditions. Packages are available. At The Mayan Princess, all rooms have kitchenettes. No need to cook breakfast, though: pastries, fruit juice and coffee are complimentary every morning. Rooms are cleaned daily. Internet access is free. Rates are based on double occupancy. Charges for extra adults may apply and will be due directly to the hotel. Guests fly internationally into Belize City and then must schedule a 15-minute flight to San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, prior to departing for your trip. This flight can be arranged through Tropic Air 1-800-422-3435 or Maya Island Air 1-800-521-1247. Another option is to take a water taxi to San Pedro information is available at the airport.
