In the heart of the Salento area, 3 Km from the Adriatic sea, is the Masseria Bosco di Makyva farmhouse hotel, some 25 hectares of unspoilt countryside. Recovered from a 19th century rural building, the farmhouse hotel has been recently restored by the architect Fabio Mello, while maintaining intact the archaic flavour of wood and stone. This farmhouse hotel features a spacious and elegant hall, large and bright drawing rooms with the characteristic vaulted ceiling, free WiFi connection, outdoor swimming pool and a restaurant with typical local cuisine. Guests can enjoy bicycle excursions in the magnificent surrounding countryside or relaxing walks in the woods within the hotel grounds. For golf lovers, an 18 hole course is only a few Kms away. Archaeological and cultural sites are all at short distance. Boat trips can be organised on request. In addition kyte surfing, wind surfing, horse riding, trekking, para-gliding and sailing can all be practised nearby.
