Le Mas de Calabrun is a recently renovated hotel located on 3 hectares/7.4 acres of land along the Petit-Rhone River. Guests can arrange to ride the property’s horses, or for the hotel to provide stable accommodations for their own horses. Other activities on the property include swimming in the outdoor pool and playing boules or table tennis. The hotel’s staff can also arrange bike rental, carriage tours, and water sports. Local dishes such as coleslaw salad with prawns and rack of lamb with goat cheese are served in the hotel’s charming restaurant. This hotel is located approx. a 10 minute walk north of the town centre of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, close to the pond called Etang des Massoucles. The Saintes Maries de la Mer Speed Canal (also called The French Trench or just The Canal), where windsurfers have set 3 world sailing speed records, is on the outskirts of town. To the east is the Parc naturel regional de Camargue, an excellent destination for bird-watching. Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer is approx. 60 km/37.3 miles from Montpellier or from Nimes, and 112 km/69.9 miles from Aix-en-Provence.
