Jim and Fiona Wood welcome you to the Marine House Hotel website. Our well furnished and decorated hotel is in the town of Stranraer, in the southwest of Scotland. We can offer our guests six, en-suite, bedrooms, all offering comfortable accommodation. You are assured of a warm welcome at the Marine House Hotel. This year, 2009, is the 'Homecoming year' when ex-pat Scots are encouraged to return to their roots. If you are planning to come to Galloway and check out your ancestral roots in this area, then our small hotel could make a good base from which to explore the area. The Marine House Hotel is well situated to explore the beautiful Rhins of Galloway and the surrounding region. Not for nothing is Galloway known as 'Scotland In Miniature'! We have our own glens, lochs, beautiful coastline, intriguing forest trails, golfing galore, pony trekking, mountain biking, sea angling and more!
