Apraksts
Named after the owner's two Italian grandmothers (Maria from Veneto and Rosa from Puglia), Maria-Rosa Guesthouse Bed & Breakfast is situated on the third floor of a newly renovated 19th century building in the historic neighborhood of Trastevere. A charming and vibrant medieval quarter in the historic center of Rome, Trastevere is famous for its calm quaintness during the day and being a lively hotspot at night, with one of Rome's most acclaimed selection of restaurants, cafes, and bars. From the B&B, guests can enjoy Rome completely on foot. A short walk across the Tiber Island and the Ponte Fabricio (the oldest Roman bridge still in use, dated 62 BC) takes you to the nearby ancient Ghetto area, the Marcello Theater, and the Michelangelo Capitol’s Piazza, as well as the more famous Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Navona, and the Pantheon. Within walking distance of Maria-Rosa there is also a daily fruit and vegetable market, a supermarket, an international newsstand, and a tourist office. The owner, Sylvie, a friendly young French woman who also speaks fluent English and Italian, has had many years of experience in tourism and knows how to make her guests feel welcome and at home. She's always ready to answer questions and is happy to suggest the best things to see and do in Rome to help her guests enjoy their stay to the fullest. She offers all guests a free map of Rome and free guide to the area; additionally, photos, and postcards of her own black-and-white photography of Rome are available for purchase.
