The hotel will become a smoke-free environment, adding to the enjoyment of guests. The renovation will include a redesign of the lobby, restaurant, and guestrooms. All will be completed by the end of May 2012. During the renovation, the hotel will be temporarily closed from March 11, 2012 and will reopen on April 9, 2012. The hotel is unable to honor reservations during this period of time. Lobby and ArrivalOn January 14, 2012 the hotel will open a temporary lobby while the main lobby undergoes a redesign that will make it one of the most luxurious spaces in downtown San Francisco. Rooms and SuitesAs work begins on a floor, the floors immediately above and below will be sealed off, containing sound and any possible disruption. New rooms will be available for reservation from April 2012, with all redesigns completed by the end of May.
