Following an extensive refurbishment programme,this award-winning hotel re-opens its doors in Autumn 2006.The Mandarin Oriental is located in the heart of Central overlooking Victoria harbour and minutes from Hong Kongs finest shopping and entertainment venues. The renovation has upgraded all of this legendary hotels facilities whilst maintaining its classic,Chinese-influenced elegance. All guests are provided with personalised in-room check-ins and the multilingual floor butlers provide refreshments in their room on arrival. A call button can notify the butler team when service is required during their stay and a pass-through cupboard ensures guest privacy is maintained at all times. The rooms have been completely redesigned;new elements include the travertine stone and black forest Chinese marble bathrooms and familiar touches return such as pure Irish linen bedding. Recently redesigned by Sir Terence Conran,The Mandarin Grill is the perfect place for both business breakfasts and intimate dining and the stunning views from M bar and Pierre-which introduces Pierre Gagnaire to Hong Kong for the first time.
