The charming and historical Les Borjs De La Kasbah hotel is located in the Kasbah, in the ancient medina quarter of Marrakech, just 15 minutes' walk from Jemna el Fna, the pulsating main square of Marrakech where guests will find plenty of shops and the bus station. The train station is approximately a 15-minute drive from the city hotel and numerous restaurants can be found around 7 minutes away by foot. Bars and pubs are a little further afield, around a 25-minute walk, and the beach in Essaouira is roughly an hour and a half's drive away. Menara Airport is just 5 km from the spa complex. This is a boutique hotel developed over a period of four years from a complex of six small town houses and one riad by its Franco-British owners. On entering this haven of calm, guests will be struck by the atmosphere of contemporary refinement and Arabic-Moorish charm, contrasting sharply with the frenetic activity of the thronged medina beyond its walls. Facilities available to guests at the air-conditioned establishment include a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out services, a hotel safe, a TV lounge, cafe, bar and restaurant. Guests may also make use of the conference facilities, room and laundry services, car park and bicycle hire service. All rooms are disposed around, and look out on one of the four original patios, each planted with flowering shrubs or orange trees, a couple of them echoing to the sound of water spilling from ornamental fountains. All the sound-proofed, well insulated rooms, are each well appointed with a bath or shower (some have both), heating and air conditioning, an in-room safe, hairdryer, minibar, telephone and widescreen TV with satellite channels. Other standard room features include a double or king-size bed, direct dial telephone, radio, Internet access, tea and coffee making facilities, a washing machine and an ironing set. On the opposite side of the heated swimming pool is a new building housing the first floor spa, offering a sauna, hammam, massages, spa treatments, face care, manicures and pedicures and, at ground level, a small poolside bar where drinks are served, including an outstanding range of cocktails, a number of non-alcoholic options created from healthly recipes using fresh fruit and vegetables. The pool also has a children's swimming area and sun loungers and parasols are laid out for guests to use. Breakfast and dinner are served as buffets, while la carte and set menu options are available for lunch and dinner. The hotel offers all-inclusive packages.
