Situated in Champagnac-de-Belair, in the heart of the beautiful region of the Perigord, le Moulin du Roc, a four star hotel, was built in 1670 on the Dronne river which runs through its grounds. In former times the building was a walnut oil mill, nowadays it is a modern hotel that keeps the old charm. The 13 rooms of the hotel are spread over 3 buildings of the Moulin. Each room offers a mix of old furniture and the comforts of modern life. All the rooms look out over the winding river and features telephone, TV, WLAN and an intimate terrace. The restaurant offers simple French cooking and guests can enjoy a good meal in one of the 2 dining rooms or on the terraces outside, by the river. There is also an exceptional wine cellar which offers more than 900 different varieties. In the surrounding there are many gardens which are rural, but with touches of exotic fragrance. In addition to the covered swimming pool that is opened up in fine weather and the adjoining tennis court, there are fishing and boat trips to be had on the river Dronne.
