The Poet’s Madness Hostel offers its guests a very unique accommodation in Chile. Located in the seaside area of El Quisco, near Isla Negra, this Chile hostel is set back into the forest. Here, guests are surrounded by nature: the trees, the sea, and the air are all around you. It is meant to be a house of inspiration and intrigue and was modeled after the homes of the world famous Chilean poet, Pablo Neruda. Isla Negra is a bustling coastal town filled with artists and writers who are inspired by their natural surroundings. Guests can spend their days combing the beach, hiking, cycling, or visiting the quaint shops and restaurants. You should definitely not miss a visit to Pablo Neruda’s House, which is now a museum. If you care to you can easily reach Valparaiso, which is just a short distance from the hostel by car and where there is even more to see and do. The home itself is made of wood and is a charming place to stay. It features an outdoor terrace, where guests can enjoy the outdoors and being one with nature. There is a communal eating area, where guests can get to know one another and perhaps make life-long friends. There is a swimming pool where you can spend a lazy afternoon lounging and a barbecue area if you wish to prepare a meal outside. The hostel is a truly interesting place and is definitely a one of a kind place to stay in Chile.
