Location This oceanfront resort, renovated in 2008, is situated on the sunny Kona Coast. Facilities This air-conditioned resort invites its guests to a truly unique location where nature and history reside in harmony. The 309 guestrooms have been refurbished with colour schemes that echo the sea, sky and flora, which guests can savour first hand thanks to the beatiful views from the outdoor lanai. These sacred sites display their ancestral heritage and hotel guests are able to observe historical murals created by a renowned local artist. The resort features a lobby with 24-hour reception, conference facilities, bars and cocktail lounges, a complimentary trolley, a shopping village and laundry/valet services (charges apply). For a fee guests can also take advantage of WLAN Internet access. Rooms The following amenities are standard and complimentary in all rooms: a safe, radio alarm clock, cable/pay TV, video games, daily newspaper, wired high-speed Internet, hairdryer, direct dial telephone/voice mail, iron and board, refrigerator, half bath tub/shower or shower only. Rooms for disabled guests and cribs are available on request. A daily maid service is offered. Sports/Entertainment There is a pool, 4 hectares of tide pools and lush tropical gardens. The ajoining Kahalua Bay Beach Park is great for snorkelling and surfing. For the golfer, there is a 36-hole golf course 1.6 km away. Massage treatments are available for an extra fee. Meals Free breakfast for two people (partial ocean view and ocean view rooms only) is available at all times except from October 10-16 and December 22-31. Payment American Express, Diners Club, JCB, MasterCard and VISA are all accepted as methods of payment. Misc. Family Plan: Up to 2 adults and 2 children (17 years and younger) share the existing bedding in a DBL room category. Rollaway beds are also available for a fee of USD 50 per night.
