Kahotea House is situated on the slopes of Motuoapa overlooking the southern end of Lake Taupo. With 180 degree views of the lake each large bedroom has en suite, queen sized bed and free access to the internet. A full cooked English or continental breakfast is provided and included in the price. Kahotea House is located in the playgrounds of the central plateau region of the North island of new Zealand and all manner of popular activities can be arranged. Trout fishing with or without a qualified guide who can provide all the equipment and clothing fishers need. Your hosts will provide an early breakfast at the time you require to take part in the famous Tongariro Tramp. Winter skiing and snowboarding also on Mt Ruapehu. Kayaking, cycling, golf, birdwatching rare native species and on a clear night many marvel at the stars not seen in the cities, and so clear they appear close enough to touch.
