Iowa House in located in the "Campustown" area of Ames just three blocks from the central campus of Iowa State University. Built in 1924 as the Delta Chi Fraternity House it was transformed by massive renovation in 2007-8 into a 15-room hotel meeting current health/safety standards like smoke detector and fire alarm systems and providing state-of-the-art amenities like spacious private baths, whirlpool tub and shower combinations, flat-screen TVs and complimentary high speed internet.
