Surrounded by pleasant gardens, a vineyard and a luxuriant lemon grove, Il Gelsomino is located near the romantic rocks of the Faro area, just a few minutes’ walk from the Pozzo Vecchio beach (where some of the scenes from the film “Il Postino” were shot) and 150 metres from one of the island’s loveliest panoramic viewpoints looking out onto the mainland village of Monte di Procida, the lighthouse and Ischia. Also within easy walking distance are the Chiaia and Silurenza beaches, the Marina Grande harbour, Procida’s main hub with a good choice of bars, restaurants, pizzerias and shops, the old walled district of Terra Murata and the fishing village of Marina Corricella. This delightful bed & breakfast offers guests a quiet, homely atmosphere. The owner is available 24 hours a day for information and advice about shops, restaurants and excursions, and is always happy to share stories about Procida’s history and traditions.
