Two 17th-century farmhouses in a large agricultural estate (organic extra-virgin olive oil production) in Umbria, bordering Tuscany, on the green hills surrounding Lake Trasimeno. Very relaxing and quiet. Well-kept gardens, panoramic pools, terracotta terraces with barbecues equipped for eating outside, pristine landscape, beautiful views of oak woods, old olive trees, green hills and valleys. Between Umbria and Tuscany, Rome and Florence, the property is ideal for visiting many famous art cities (Perugia, Assisi and Gubbio in Umbria; Montepulciano, Pienza and Cortona in Tuscany), and small and characteristic mediaeval hamlets (Citta della Pieve and Panicale), the islands of Lake Trasimeno and the villages around the lake (Castiglione del Lago).The two complexes are called "Fontanelle" and "Molinella". They are composed of 5 apartments and 3 independent houses, that can accommodate up to 35 guests. Suitable for family holidays, friends and family reunions, seminars, meetings, small weddings. Fontanelle, a large stone farmhouse with a characteristic internal terracotta courtyard, is situated in the hills, at almost 500 m. a.s.l., and enjoys stunning views of the valley below. There are 5 apartments + a large, 70-sqm common room with a living room, fireplace, kitchen and dining area. Molinella is a romantic, elegant and secluded ex-water mill, surrounded by oak woods, near a stream. It is formed by 3 independent houses, each with its own outside private space (terrace or garden). Within our property and in the area there are many trails that you can walk or mountain bike (bikes available). Bilingual Italian/English-speaking owners will suggest interesting places to visit (and favourite restaurants!). Nice home-made breakfast made with local products available upon request.
