Business hours of reception: 24 hours Lillafured is approximately 15 km away from Miskolc which is the second largest city of Hungary. The city is surrounded by three mountain ranges and is located in a picturesque valley in the eastern part of the Bukk Mountains. Lillafured is one of the most beautiful health resorts in Hungary which provides a unique climate. This castle with hanging gardens was built between 1927 and 1930 in eclectic style and is located in a large park. From here, you can enjoy a beautiful view to the valley of the Szinva stream and to the Hamori Lake. The building presents a special flair and you can also hear the waterfalls nearby. The complete room renovations began in May 2009. As result of the works, the hotel got spacious rooms with furniture matching the atmosphere of the building. The Hotel Palota has 133 rooms, including 21 suites (some of them with jacuzzi or fireplace), 103 double rooms, 8 junior double rooms (room suitable for 2 persons, with a smaller size) and 1 single room. 18 rooms can be extended with extra beds for 3 persons. All rooms have a comfortable and cosy bathroom, colour TV and mini-bar providing smooth and complete relaxation. In-room telephone, and free Wifi Internet in the rooms allow the service of needs of business travellers, too. The hotel offers 3 atmospheric restaurants and 2 bars. The comfortable restaurant Matyas with its painted windows offers Renaissance cuisine and medieval music. The restaurant Hunyadi presents a varied choice of beverages and dishes. The room Louis the Great (Nagy Lajos) is a suitable place for family celebrations or business meals for 20 persons. According to the renovation between May and October 2009, the size and the number of services of the wellness centre got extended. You can still use the 10 metre swimming-pool, the dry and wet sauna (steam bath), jacuzzi, indoor dipping and treading pool, and the fully equipped gym as well. In the new pool area of the hotel, we formed the new “Silent wellness” division. Besides the new adventure pool with various water elements, you have a great opportunity to rest in the Finnish sauna with outdoor plunge pool and the salt cave, that offers treatment for respiratory diseases. Along the pool, next to the walls, you can find heated surfaces, those await our guests, who wish to relax.
