The An den Bleichen is a hotel in Stralsund, a UNESCO world heritage city. This family-run hotel and offers you peace and relaxation in a beautifully designed property which includes a large garden with terrace, a sauna and solarium. From Stralsund, you can reach the islands of Rugen, fish / Darß and Usedom, a short drive and easily reached by car or train as well as visit the newly built Ozeaneum and the Maritime Museum. An den Bleichen is a small hotel with 23 guest rooms, on a lovely park of maintained lawns and mature trees. Bicycle trails wind through the park. Walkers and joggers will enjoy using a 4 km/2.5 mile trail around the pond, which starts just 100 metres/110 yards from the hotel. Guests are invited to use the hotel’s sauna and solarium. Every morning the hotel staff prepares a breakfast buffet for the guests. Lunch and dinner are served in the restaurant next door. Hotel An den Bleichen is within walking distance (1.5 km/0.9 miles) of the small zoo called the Tierpark Stralsund, at the west end of the Moor Pond. Approx. 2 km/1.2 miles to the southeast is the heart of the Stralsund old town, around the Old Market Square (Alter Markt) with its 13th century Gothic town hall. There are several Stralsund museums concerned with marine life and human interaction with the ocean: the German Oceanographic Museum, a new public aquarium called the Ozeaneum, and the Nautineum. Two bridges and several ferry routes connect Stralsund with the ports of Rugen. Destinations on the island include Western Pomerania Lagoon Area National Park, Jasmund National Park, and the Southeast Rugen Biosphere Reserve.
