Situated in the idyllic landscape of the Neusiedlersee-Seewinkel National Park, this former post office that has been converted into a charming hotel offers a unique accommodation in a tranquil location. Hotel Zur Post features cosy and clean rooms with free internet access, a restaurant, a terrace, and modern conference rooms. The helpful staff can organise tickets for all cultural events around Lake Neusiedl and provides insider tips. Airport shuttles from Vienna and Bratislava are available on request. A wide range of Pannonian dishes, traditional Viennese cuisine, and excellent local wines are served in the restaurant and on the garden terrace. Located in the centre of the small town of Illmitz, Hotel Zur Post is an ideal starting point for enjoying the famous wines of the region. It is also a perfect base to discover the unique landscape of the national park, which is well known for its many species of birds, on foot or by bicycle. Ferry boats take you to Morbisch on the opposite shore of the lake, where a famous operetta festival takes place. Parndorf, with one of the largest outlet shopping centres in Central Europe, is only a short drive away. The Pannonian climate, with more than 2000 hours of sunshine a year, will give you the possibility to watch more than 250 different kinds of birds. Admire the interesting and rare fauna and flora along our foot paths or cycling tracks. Besides our unique nature you can take part in many different kinds of sport, such as: riding, surfing, swimming, sailing, cycling and fishing. DonZt miss visiting the festival of musicals in Morbisch, we gladly organize your transfer by ferry boat llmitz-Morbisch-Illmitz. From West, North and East: - Take A4 (Higway East) and exit at the Nationalpark (Gols/Weiden). From South: - Take A3 and exit at Eisenstadt Ost, Neusiedl. If youZre arriving by plane the hotel can arrange your shuttle from Vienna or Bratislava for an additional cost (maximum of 8 people).
