Hotel Wakim benefits from splendid views of the hills surrounding Beit Mery and of the Mediterranean coast. The property consists of 26 self-catering apartments. An airport shuttle service is available upon request; meals can be catered, subject to charges. With its high location and pleasant summer weather, Beit Mery has been a popular summer destination since the Roman rulers of Lebanon used it as a favourite resort. Many visitors enjoy hiking or horseback riding through the forested hills around the town. Among the Beit Mery attractions are ancient Roman and Byzantine ruins and the Maronite Monastery of Saint John the Baptist. Hotel Wakim is approx. 3.6 km/2.2 miles west of Broumana (also spelled Broummana) and 21 km/13.0 mile east of Beirut.
