Location This hotel lies along a wide stretch of beach on Holbox, a beautiful island situated 2 hours to the northwest of Cancun, far away from the influences of mass tourism. The small, traditional fishing village of Holbox is less than 1 km from the hotel and a 150 km drive followed by a 10 km boat crossing will take guests to Cancun international airport. Facilities Featuring 20 romantic, Caribbean-style beachside bungalows that have been built in the most natural and efficient way, this hotel seamlessly blends into its surrounds through the use of natural materials. The preservation of the natural environment was key during construction of the hotel according to ecologically-friendly techniques, such as cross-ventilation, rain water collecting and waste recycling, as well as the use of alternative energy sources. Tropical gardens with palapas surround the hotel; in-house facilities include a safe, a bar-restaurant, a souvenir boutique and a golf cart hire service. guests can book tours in the area at reception. A laundry service and medical assistance are available. Rooms The bungalow suites have been constructed using natural materials from the local area and feature wooden floors that compliment the furniture. The garden bungalows come with a living room, a bathroom with a shower/bath, a king-size and single bed. Complimentary tea and coffee are available and there is also a ceiling fan and terrace or balcony with hand-made hammocks on offer in each. The Deluxe and Deluxe Beachfront bungalows have exactly the same amenities with an additional hairdryer. They are fitted with 2 double beds and an extra single bed. Sports/Entertainment Various leisure activities may be tried out, such as bird watching, horse riding, cycling, mountain biking, beach volleyball, basketball, badminton and table tennis. Those wishing to undertake some water sports may go sailing, kayaking or fishing. Moreover, it is possible to simply kick back and relax beneath the Mexican sun on the beach, in a hammock, or on a sun lounger. There is a massage service to take advantage of. Meals Coco Loco restaurant overlooks the sea and serves an American breakfast, an exquisite lunch, tropical cocktails and gourmet dishes.
