The Taormina Hotel is housed within a historical building that dates back to the early 19th century that is located at the heart of Rome, between the basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, S. Giovanni Lateranus and S. Croce in Gerusalemme. The Colosseum and Forum Romanum are situated within walking distance of the hotel as are underground, tram and bus links as well as the Roma Termini mail railway station, which simplify a city tour. It is 25 km to the airport. Amongst the facilities count a 24-hour reception desk, a currency exchange desk, a safe and a caf in addition to a TV room. The highly trained hotel staff are in hand to provide guests with tourist information such as maps, and about tours and other goings-on in the city that allow the beauty of Rome to be fully enjoyed. Each of the elegant, recently renovated rooms comes with special features such as air conditioning, an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer, satellite/ cable TV, a direct dial telephone, an electric alarm clock, central heating and a hire safe. Moreover, there are more functional rooms to cater to a diverse clientele. Selected rooms afford views out over the inner courtyard, whilst others overlook a terrace featuring lush plants and flowers and some look out onto the busy main street.
