Hotel Segria, located in the heart of Lleida, one of the most fertile cities of Spain, is nestled halfway between the ocean and mountains next to the "Rio Segre" and is also very close to the city's commercial and historic hub. It has an exceptionally good setting that makes it an essential stopping point between the routes that connect Spain with the rest of Europe. Furthermore, the hotel benefits from excellent road access to the trades fair pavilion, AVE Train Station and to the road networks: AP-2 highway that links the city to Barcelona and Zaragoza; Western road, which brings it over to "Delta del Ebro" and Transverse road which joins it with the regions of Girona. The city of Lleida is dominated by a great fort in ruins; La Suda, where old cathedral is in it, or the "Seu Vella". In this cathedral, buit in the 12th century, only remain the magnificent gothic windows were added later. Coming down from the cathedral, one finds Sant Joan plaza and following the pedestrian street one can admire the new cathedral and lordly buildings like the Paeria, or Lleida's City Hall reconstructed on the 8th century. Not very far from the city is the Poblet Monastery, surrounded by medieval walls. It has a splendid gothic library and a baroque facade church which it is necessary to mention its altarpiece. Close to Poblet is situated Mont Blanc, prevailing the greatness inside its medieval walls and on the door of Sant Jordi, San Jorge appears killing a dragon. In Poblet it is also possible to visit the "Museu Comarcal de la Conca de Barber", which it has samples of local crafts.
