The two stars Hotel Lamartine of Saint-Dizier (recently fully refurbished) offers modern & confort in the best hotellery traditions of the town centre. It has a Brasserie restaurant with fine food and inventive dishes (Home Made Foie Gras), Home Made Tapas just like in Spain, attentive service and cordial hospitality all to ensure you have a very enjoyable stay. There is a very large car park just opposite the hotel and parking for coaches. Motorcyclists very welcom including free & secure overnight garage for motorbikes. Just opposite the Hotel is the Aquatic Centre equipped with a 25m, 8 lane pool (which is approved for competitions), a 5m deep diving pool, and an 80m long waterslide. There is also a leisure area with a facility to swim against a current, a sauna, hammam and gym. A short walk from the hotel is the multiplex cinema Cine-Quai. This 7 screen cinema is air-conditioned and equipped with giant screens and the latest digital HD sound system. A 10 minute drive towards Bar-Le-Duc takes you to the 18 hole Combles-en-Barrois golf course, regarded as one of the best in the East of France. For Gourmets and epicureans, don't miss: the Champagne vineyards at Rizaucourt-Argentolles and Coiffy le Haut and Montsaugeon Haute-Marne local wines, Bassigny's brandies and liquors (yellowplum, Williams pear and raspberry) or ruby and renne currents, Haute-Marne truffles (tuber uncinatum) and Langres Cheese. Hotel reception open Tuesday to Friday from 7am to 2pm & from 5pm to 10pm, Saturday and Monday from 8am to 2pm & from 5pm to 10pm, Sunday from 8am to 10am & from 8pm to 10pm. Restaurant open at lunchtime Monday to Sunday from 12pm to 2pm & evening dinner Monday to Friday from 7pm to 9.30pm (7pm to 10pm on Saturday).
