In continuous operation as a hotel since 1920, the Hotel Lyon Mulhouse was renovated in 2006 to update the 40 guest rooms and equip them with air-conditioning. As a guest, you can enjoy a continental breakfast in the breakfast room or order room service. The hotel staff can store your valuables in a personal safe in the reception area, and can assist you with email or fax service. Dogs are allowed. The hotel’s greatest asset may be its fantastic location, just on the other side of the Place de la Bastille from the Bastille Opera. Shops and restaurants line Beaumarchais Boulevard, on which the hotel stands. Nearby, pleasure boats are docked at the marina at the Bassin de l'Arsenal, which links the Canal Saint-Martin to the Seine. To the west of the Hotel Lyon Mulhouse, the Le Marais historic district is full of magnificent architecture that reflects its aristocratic past. Among the Marais attractions are the Picasso Museum, the Cognacq-Jay Museum, the Carnavalet Museum, and the home of Victor Hugo. From the hotel it’s approx. a 5 minute walk to the Bastille station of the Paris Metro and a 15 minute walk to the Gare de Lyon train station.
