Set in the east of Qingdao, the Qingdao Ocean Hotel ( Qingdao yuanyang dajiudian ) is a three star hotel renowned for its elegant lobby. The hotel is some thirty minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from the railway station. This spot is not ideal for any of the main sights, although it is near to the business end of town. There are more than 180 different guestrooms and suites here, all nicely decorated and well equipped. The hotel facilities are numerous and keyed up to deal with business, as well as travel, guests. There are various sized conference rooms within the business center. Leisure services include a beauty salon, a sauna, a health center and a night club. For dining there are a few restaurants here, the Qilu Chinese Restaurant serves Cantonese and Sichuan cuisine, seafood and hot pot, while the Western restaurant tries to provide a western menu.
