Monte do Sobral is a beautiful farmhouse, restored into a “Rural Tourism Hotel”. Enjoying a great location in the Alentejo plain, (125 km from Lisbon and 28 km from Evora), which allows a remarkable contact with nature, Monte do Sobral is the perfect refuge to escape from the stressful city life. Each of the 14 suites and apartments have distinct characteristics, as a result from the fine restoration of the old houses and seats of farming, offering a variety of environments, characterized by authenticity and rusticity. Excellent regional cuisine of Alentejo region at the on-site restaurant and ample outdoor spaces are integrant part of Monte do Sobral offer, where none of the family members were forgotten: A swimming pool (covered and heated during autumn and winter), children's playground, games room, archery, clay pigeon shooting, horse riding school, bikes and kayaks, all make Monte do Sobral an ideal retreat for nature lovers and those looking for relaxation, privacy and tranquility. At a short driving range, some “Alentejo secrets” wait to be discovered: Alcacova and Viana do Alentejo towns, the prehistoric Escoural caves, the Mora Fluviarium and Alqueva dam. Monte do Sobral offers a plain rural environment, where relaxation and the practice of various sport activities merge perfectly. In the heart of Alentejo plain, Monte do Sobral is the result of the recovery of old rural houses and store houses, where the decoration with rustic traditional materials, carefully chosen, create a pleasant, casual atmosphere. Rooms and Suites at the Monte do Sobral have unique characteristics that result from the restoration of old houses. The mezzanines provide lovely solutions, each accommodation being different, individually decorated with rustic and traditional pieces in harmony with a rural and relaxed environment. The large family suites allow occupation up to 9 people, ideal for groups (Family / Friends). All have air-conditioning and a salamander (except the Romantic Suite - air-cond.only ) TV and sitting area. Apartments are all equipped with Kitchenette.
