Recreation:The vineyard at Playa Grande truly makes Luz de Mono a place like no other in the world. 25 years ago Albert Ingalls III started work on a project to grow grapes, and produce wine here in the tropics. After years of work, the Playa Grande Vineyard has been able to produce both a red and white wine known as 'Monkey Shine'. Luz de Mono features some of Costa Rica's most interesting artists and musicians. With regular art exhibits of local artists, and concerts, in the restaurant, guests enjoy a sense of creativity and sophistication unknown in this isolated corner of Costa Rica. The hotel facilities also include restaurant, bar. Rooms:Luz de Mono has 12 standard rooms located in our tropical garden, each with a queen-size bed, private bathroom with hot water, refrigerator and fan. For families, friends, and complete privacy, we offer six casitas with beautiful views of the ocean, terraces and Jacuzzi, table and chairs to take in the sun or enjoy the beautiful jungle surroundings. Each unit has two rooms with queen-size bed, bathroom with hot water, fan and equipped kitchen. With the tropical garden surrounding the hotel and its casitas, guests can truly escape into nature.
