Come to the Albatros Hotel when you travel to the Loire-Atlantique department of France. This affordable Le Pouliguen hotel is well located in the small beach town, close to the famous beach of La Baule. The Albatros Hotel is a small hotel with 12 guest rooms. English, French, and Spanish/Castilian are spoken by the staff. Smoking is not allowed in the guest rooms, but there is a designated smoking area outside the hotel. A continental breakfast buffet is served in the reception area each morning, or on the outdoor patio in the summertime. The hotel is within walking distance of the La Baule Yacht Club and the western edge of the beautiful sandy beach along the Bay of La Baule, which stretches 12 km/7.5 miles to the town of Pornichet. Destinations in the largest town of La Baule (sometimes called by its full name, La Baule-Escoublac) include the shops and restaurants along the Avenue du General de Gaulle and the La Baule Casino. The Albatros Hotel is also a good base for exploring Pays de la Loire tourist attractions such as the medieval fortified town of Guerande and Briere Regional Park. Le Pouliguen is accessible by train from Paris and Nantes via the La Baule-Escoublac train station (Gare de La Baule-Escoublac).
