L'Aigle des Neiges (the name translates as roughly The Eagle in the Snow) is counted among the most fashionable hotels in the region. It has been recently redecorated by architect Alain Perrier to combine modern and traditional local styles through the use of natural wood and raw stone. The attentive staff provides the services expected of a world-class hotel, such as room service, porters, concierge, laundry service, and free Wi-Fi access. The chic Pier Paul Jack restaurant complex comprises 2 different dining rooms and a hotel bar. In the Deep Nature Spa, you can enjoy the sauna, steam room, swimming pool, and body treatment centre. At 1,850 metres/6,070 feet above sea level, the hotel is located in the heart of the old village of Val-d'Isere, just a few steps from the snow. The Val-d'Isere resort is typically combined with neighbouring Tignes into the larger Espace Killy ski area, with 300 km/186 miles of downhill slopes and 89 ski lifts. There are both groomed slopes and backcountry (off-piste) skiing. Guests can rent their ski equipment at the L'Aigle des Neiges’s ski shop, and the hotel can also help arrange ski passes and ski lessons. Val-d'Isere also features the Valpark snowpark, cross-country skiing slopes, and areas reserved for children and beginners. Pets are welcome.
